“ Was staying in Chatham for the weekend with friends to see a Tanglewood concert and was looking for a good area restaurant. We came across "Bimi's". Wow! What a pleasant surprise! Wasn't expecting dining perfection in this sleepy town with minimal food choices, but I was so wrong! Bimis is a hidden gem in Chatham NY. The farm to table and locally sourced food was outstanding! From the appetizers to dessert, the food was excellent, creative, and thoughtfully prepared! The service staff were very professional and friendly. The venue is sophisticated yet cozy. Loved the bathrooms, they were very unique! Prices very reasonable for getting fresh food from area vendors. Best suprise was the "speakeasy- ish" bar that was located downstairs...only wished I had found this earlier! Would highly recommend it, but make sure to make reservations! I will definitely be back when I'm in the area again! ”
“ We had the world slate, smash burger with shoestring fries, coq au vin, and pork chop with buckwheat spaetzle and red cabbage. We appreciated that the dishes were prepared carefully and not laden with butter. It was all delicious except for the strangely unappetizing cheese plate, which contained about 1 ounce of cold, boring cheese and was not appropriate for sharing. Nice rustic dining room with leather placemats and lovely cloth napkins. Friendly and helpful service. ”
“ What an absolute gem! We drove over from Hudson just to visit Bimi’s on a Friday night and it could not have been a better decision. We were greeted by Ellen, the owner who could not have been more accommodating of our cranky 4 year old (no small task!) and just so warm and lovely and a cheese expert! The food was phenomenal - definitely get the cheese board, the pasta was so fresh, and we don’t usually order chicken at a restaurant but theirs is 10/10! We’ll be back (hopefully with a less cranky toddler) over and over again! ”

“ Everything was fantastic from the atmosphere to the cocktails to the food. We didn’t have a reservation but we were seated at the bar quickly. The service was a little slow but watching the bartender and the passion he has was an experience in itself so it helped with the wait. The food was fantastic. My only complaint was we got the tomato salad and it was supposed to come with a crispy waffle and it didn’t. When we asked they said sometimes they run out. That’s ok but it could have been substituted with bread maybe. Either way, it was delicious. And the macaroni gratin was incredible! ”
“ I love this spot. There aren't many options for great food in Chatham so me and my family were thrilled when this place opened. A true farm-to-table restaurant, so fresh and tasty, the veggies taste as if they were just picked out of the ground. The chef is highly skilled and knows how to make a unique, hearty, delicious dish packed with flavor and the yum yum factor HITS! The drinks are to die for and my favorite thing is the menu//drinks change often so you get a new experience every time you go. Highly recommend this small town gem of a restaurant. ”

The restaurant itself is gorgeous, but the real hidden gem is the Grotto Bar — a must-visit. Food-wise, everything was incredible. The bread and butter were hearty and delicious, and the bolognese was outstanding — wonderful red sauce, perfectly seasoned beef, and house-made noodles that were just perfection. For dessert, the chocolate cake was a showstopper: rich, decadent, and flourless — absolutely heavenly. The cocktails were equally impressive. As the sober driver, I tried the non-alcoholic Bee’s Knees and honestly, I’d order it again over the traditional version — it was that good. Lovely place, great chef, fantastic drinks — Bimi’s is a true gem. Can’t wait to come back! ”
